Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all tours and travel services booked with Esiringet Lioness Adventures Safaris, a destination management company based in Arusha, Tanzania. They govern the contractual relationship between Esiringet Lioness Adventures Safaris (“the Company”) and the client making the booking (“the Client”).

By confirming a booking with Esiringet Lioness Adventures Safaris, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The individual confirming the booking does so on behalf of all travellers included in the reservation and confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions for all parties. All clients named in the booking are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. The booking contact will act as the primary point of communication for all travellers.

Deposit and Final Payment

A 35% deposit of the total safari cost is required to secure a booking. Payment instructions will be provided upon confirmation. The remaining balance must be settled no later than 61 days prior to departure. For bookings made within 61 days of travel, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Booking Confirmation and Agreement

A booking is considered confirmed once the required deposit has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Esiringet Lioness Adventures Safaris. By making a booking, the client confirms that they are authorised to act on behalf of all travellers, that all information provided is accurate, and that consent has been obtained to share traveller details with the Company.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are subject to the following charges based on the number of days prior to departure:

  • 61 days or more: loss of deposit

  • 60–45 days: 25% of the total safari cost

  • 44–29 days: 60% of the total safari cost

  • 28–7 days: 100% of the total safari cost

If the Company Cancels

In rare circumstances where Esiringet Lioness Adventures Safaris is required to cancel a tour due to unavoidable events, suitable alternative arrangements of a similar standard will be offered where possible. If alternatives are not acceptable, a refund will be provided in accordance with applicable terms.

Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held responsible for events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, extreme weather conditions, epidemics, government actions, or other unforeseeable circumstances that may affect travel plans.

Travel Insurance

All clients are required to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, repatriation, trip cancellation or interruption, and loss or theft of personal belongings. Proof of insurance may be requested prior to travel.

Medical Conditions and Special Requirements

Clients must disclose any medical conditions, disabilities, or special needs before booking. While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate special requests such as dietary or accommodation preferences, these are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contractual agreement.

Travel Documents

Clients are solely responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas, and required vaccinations. Esiringet Lioness Adventures Safaris accepts no liability for any issues, delays, or additional costs arising from incomplete or invalid travel documentation.

Prices, Surcharges, and Taxes

Tour prices are subject to change up to 30 days before departure due to factors such as accommodation costs, fuel prices, park fees, government taxes, or currency fluctuations. Clients will be notified of any changes and will have 14 days to accept the revised price or cancel the booking.

Changes to Itineraries

Changes to itineraries may occur due to operational requirements or at the request of the client. Options may include accepting revised arrangements, selecting an alternative tour, adjusting pricing where applicable, or cancelling with a full refund, depending on the circumstances.

Risks and Liability

Participation in safari and adventure activities involves inherent risks. Clients agree to follow all safety instructions provided by guides and staff. Esiringet Lioness Adventures Safaris is not responsible for injury, loss, damage, or delays caused by client actions, third parties, or force majeure events.

Complaints

Any concerns arising during the tour should be raised immediately with the guide or local representative to allow prompt resolution. If unresolved, complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days of returning from the tour.

Image and Media Use

By participating in tours, clients grant permission for photographs or video footage taken during the trip to be used by Esiringet Lioness Adventures Safaris for promotional and marketing purposes, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Local Laws and Regulations

Clients are required to comply with all applicable local laws, park regulations, and rules set by service providers during the course of their travels.
